Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) is an automatic, non-contact, proximity based identification system which can be used in a wide range of applications where reliable product tracking and traceability is required.
RFID tags containing unique data are attached to each product or product carrier. The data contained in the RFID tags that travel with the product can be reliably stored or retrieved at various designated points using RF communication. The product or material can therefore be tracked and monitored at every step in a process.
